Reminder: Tomorrow, Wednesday April 15th, is a scheduled Half Day for Hartford Public Schools. HS/MS/Alt Ed. will be released at 11:15am and Redwood Elementary will be released at 11:30am.

🏀All girls that are in 3rd-8th grade for next school year are invited to participate in a volleyball and basketball Summer Sports Camp on June 2, 3 & 4th. It will be held from 10-1:30 at Hartford High School and costs $30 to participate, lunch is provided.

Medical forms, permission slips, and money are due by May 22nd. All forms will be sent home. See Mrs. Blackmer or Mrs. Matheny or stop by the office if you have any questions or need a flyer.

03/26/2026 Hartford Community: This morning at approximately 11:30 a.m. a Redwood Elementary student had an incident that required medical attention. Our staff Medical Emergency Response Team acted immediately. We would like to thank our MERT Team and staff for their assistance. As always, our students/staff safety is our number one priority at Hartford Public Schools. 26/03/2026 Comunidad de Hartford: Esta mañana, aproximadamente a las 11:30 a. m., un estudiante de la Escuela Primaria Redwood sufrió un incidente que requirió atención médica. Nuestro Equipo de Respuesta a Emergencias Médicas (MERT), compuesto por personal de la escuela, actuó de inmediato. Nos gustaría agradecer a nuestro equipo MERT y al personal por su asistencia. Como siempre, la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes y de nuestro personal es nuestra prioridad número uno en las Escuelas Públicas de Hartford.

April 2026 District Testing Calendar

Mrs. Stacy Thiele is our new Interim Assistant Principal at Redwood Elementary effective April 6th. Stacy is a veteran teacher with 22 years of experience K-12. She graduated from GVSU in 2004 and taught Spanish and Health Education for 18 years. She received her master’s from GVSU in ESL in 2010 and in 2022 received her administrator certification also from GVSU. Mrs. Thiele has worked at Hartford since August of 2022. In her time at HPS, she has served the district as the MS/HS ESL teacher, the 6-12 Curriculum Coordinator, and most recently has been serving as the K-12 Migrant/ESL Coordinator and K-5 Multilingual Instructional Coach. She is very excited and honored to continue serving the Hartford community as Interim Assistant Principal. Feel free to reach out and say hello or stop by Redwood anytime.
